Tones Your Legs and Butt

Here's your fitness challenge of the day: the squat jump! It's an anti-aging power move that takes toning your lower body to a whole new level.

Any sort of explosive motion—like a squat jump—helps you maintain and build fast-twitch muscle fibers. And while you can't see them, you really need to keep these around. Fast twitch muscle fibers are what help you generate power, an ability people lose quickly—at twice the rate of muscle strength—as we age, says exercise physiologist Irv Rubenstein, Ph.D., president of S.T.E.P.S., Nashville.
While power can certainly improve your workout, you need these muscle fibers for everyday movements, too. Even something as simple as crossing a busy street before the light turns red requires your fast-twitch muscle fibers to spring into action.
And, as you probably already know, upping the intensity of your workout can do wonders for your metabolism by flipping the "on" switch to afterburn. So even if you're plunked down at your desk for a few hours after running through your workout, your body will still torch calories at a higher rate. How's that for more bang for your fitness buck?
Even if you have weak knees, you can still get some of the benefits with a simple modification. Instead of doing an all-out jump squat, move more quickly, and rise all the way up onto your toes, reaching your arms overhead, at the top of each rep. (So if you normally take two seconds to get up from a squat, do it in only half the time.) You'll still get your heart rate up, tone your entire body, and earn some stress-busting endorphins. Sounds like a win-win to us.

Sexy ways to show your straps

Show your bra straps if you dare
Visible bra straps are no longer considered fashion faux pas, they are actually a flirty fashion statement. If you decide you want to show your straps, you can do it in a sexy, not sleazy, way.
Exposing your bra straps can be tacky if you are wearing a ratty old bra or your bra doesn't fit properly. However, it can also be very sexy if done right. Follow these style tips and confidently flaunt your straps.

Peekaboo bra straps are no big deal for some women, but not everyone is a fan of exposed undergarments. Allison Mercer’s solution is to own the look, make them worth seeing. That’s the philosophy behind Strappys, the jewelry-like bra straps Allison designs. Fun, tasteful, interchangeable accessories you’ll want to show off when you’re wearing a strapless dress or a top that exposes your bra straps. You can hook Strappys onto the strap loops sewn into most convertible bras and strapless bras.

Wear a sheer blouse

Sheer tops are on-trend this season and the perfect way to show off -- not just your straps, but your entire bra. Instead of wearing a top that is completely sheer, choose one in a semi-sheer fabric for a sexy look that isn't too revealing.

Try color contrast

A boatneck tee with a wide neckline or an off-the-shoulder dress can allow you to show off your straps too. For a sexy yet casual look, partner a basic tank top with a bra in a contrasting color. The eye-catching contrast is a fabulous way to show off your straps.

Choose the right bra

If you are going to put your straps on display, make sure you are wearing the right bra. For a sheer top, pick a full-coverage bra in a nude shade. This will allow it to blend in with your body as much as possible while providing the coverage you need.
With a tank top or even a strapless dress, consider a bra with split straps.  However, the straps are split for a fashionable look that's perfect for showing off.

Make sure it fits

No matter what you are wearing, make sure that you are wearing a bra that fits. A properly-fitted bra can improve your posture, make you look thinner, and help your clothes fit better. If you have never had a professional bra fitting, consider scheduling one. It's said that up to 80 percent of women are wearing the wrong size bra.

Not ready to show your straps?

For those times when you don't want to show your straps, you can still wear all your favorite sexy pieces -- from backless dresses, to one-shoulder tops. Look for bras that allow you to alter the strap configuration for a variety of different looks.

Adjusting the Bra Straps Properly

Bra straps that slip off the shoulders can be annoying and uncomfortable. It can also cause your bra to be less supportive, which defeats the purpose of wearing a bra.
1Tighten your bra band. Use the setting that will hug the bra closer to your body if it is the right size but you still notice the straps slipping.

2
Tighten your bra straps. To provide the proper support, your straps should be tight enough to stay in place, but not so tight that they pull your bra band out of place.

3
Position your bra correctly when you dress.
  • Make sure your breasts sit comfortably inside the cups. Bend over to position them if necessary.
  • Reach to the back of your bra and pull it down below your shoulder blades, so it is even with the front of your bra. When your bra back is too high, it causes discomfort for you and makes the straps fall.

Wedding Dresses: Choosing Lingerie to Enhance Your Bridal Gown

While one of the most important wedding decisions you'll make is your wedding dress, you'll find that the right lingerie to wear with the dress is just as important. After all, you want to be comfortable and you want to look great too. You'll want to feel beautiful on the inside and the outside, so don't skimp on the lingerie to wear with your dress. Not only will the lingerie you choose have a lot to do with the way your dress looks, but it will probably be seen by your husband later.
This means you want it to look amazing. Here is a closer look at some of the lingerie choices you'll need to consider and tips for making the right choice.
First, you'll need to have the perfect bra to go with the wedding dress of your choice. You should choose a bra that will offer you support but it needs to be a bra that will suit the dress. If you are full figured, it's a good idea to go with underwire for plenty of support. If you want to enhance your bust and slim down your waist, a longline bra is a great choice. Strapless choices are great for low cut necklines or dresses that are off the shoulder. If you are unsure of the correct size, it's definitely a great idea to be professionally fitted.
Another of the lingerie options you may want to wear beneath your wedding dress is a shaper. If you want to look a bit slimmer, these shapers can help deal with any problem areas you are dealing with. Just make sure you have a shaper that is comfortable. The last thing you want is to feel uncomfortable throughout your entire wedding day.
The right slip is going to be important when choosing lingerie to wear under the wedding dress. The slip can help keep the fabric from riding up and also gives you a silhouette that is sleek and smooth. Any dress that has clingy fabric or that is designed in a column style should definitely have a slip underneath it. If you are going for a full skirt, you may need a crinoline, which is like a slip, but it gives the full skirt support and fullness.
You'll want to choose the perfect hosiery as well. While some women choose to go without hosiery for informal weddings, if you are wearing a formal dress, you may want to go with some high end hosiery. The most popular choice is white, and you can wear stockings with garters or full length pantyhose. Choose the option that is most comfortable for you.
The perfect panties are definitely important. The last thing you need is a panty line showing through your wedding dress. Some clingy dresses can show a panty line if you are not careful. Wearing close fitting options, such as a g-string, can be a perfect choice. Just make sure you don't wear panties that are too tight and uncomfortable.
Now do you have some ideas of your bridal lingerie?

Panty Fitting

Let's be honest, if your underpants don't fit right, you're going to be miserable all day. The dreaded panty ride-up can be one of the most distracting situations to suffer through. It will affect your comfort level all day.

Therefore, it almost goes without saying that underpants need to fit your contours without creeping, and feel natural if you don't want to spend all day tugging and squirming.
Well, you never have to experience this again if the next time you go shopping for underpants,

Finding Your Personal Underpants Size

Determining your proper panty fit requires that you know two components: waist measurement and hip measurement. If possible, recruit someone to take your measurements. It's faster and tends to be more accurate.

The hardest part about purchasing lingerie that fits well and looks good, is knowing what to look for. There are so many choices in fabric, style and size to choose from today.

Here give you as much information as possible on sizing, fabrics, styles and fitting to make you make you your own undergarment expert, and thus create the perfect lingerie wardrobe for you.
Remember Fitbuzzers, it's summer. You're allowed to feel sexy with your new butt.... http://www.fitzspiration.com/stay-fit-buzz-no-nonsense-butt-building/
Waist Measurement
Measure your waist by placing the tape measure around the natural indentation or break in your waist. If you need help locating this indentation, bend to the side; the crease will be the location of your waist.

Hip Measurement

Measure the fullest part of your hips, making sure the tape measure remains parallel to the floor. This is your hip measurement. Now that you know your two measurements, consult the chart below to determine your proper underpants size. If your measurements represent two different panty sizes, choose the larger of the two sizes.

Perfect Panty Fit Checklist

Are you sure you know how panties are supposed to fit? Take a quick look at our checklist to make sure you have the best fit possible.

Natural fitting crotch

A panty crotch should fit naturally against your body. There should be no excessive fabric in the front or back, and should definitely not be binding. If your panty has a front horizontal crotch seam, it should be visible from the front and not slip backwards. If it does, check to see that your panty isn't on backwards.

Waistband is snug but not binding

If your waistband keeps bunching up and rolling over in the front, you have the wrong size. Try a smaller size. The right size means your band stays in place and is comfortable.

Legs are snug but not binding

Panty legs should not be so tight that they cause grooves along your thighs. Leg openings should be evenly arched on both legs and the fabric should not be bunched or twisted. If you are still having trouble with binding legs, try a panty with a high cut leg style  such as frech cut

Buttocks is cupped

Assuming you are not wearing a thong, the proper fit around the buttocks is balanced, symmetrical, covered and cupped. If not, you need a bigger size. Also, if some of your current panties are riding up, the elastic is probably shot and they need to be replaced.

Final Thought On Panties

We all know it's easy to keep panties for years without getting rid of it. After all, most of the time it's covered up by our clothes and no one else sees them. However, it's probably not a bad idea to take a look at your current panty wardrobe. If the leg or waistbands are stretched out, the back consistently rides up, the seams or the body are frayed, it's probably time to toss. And never dismiss what your mother warned you about--you actually could end up in an emergency room or dressing room wearing the underwear you never intended anyone to see.

Know your knickers!

With the vast array of style of knickers that is available these days, you are forgiven for your confusion!  There seems to be a style for every day of the week, and then some!  So, to help you decide which briefs are best and which are just pants, here guide you to know your knickers
Bikini Briefs - sit at hip level, like the hipster, but the fabric of the side sections is narrower, in some cases being only as wide as string. There is also less rear coverage with a bikini cut brief.  This is the brief style most commonly worn by women around the world.

Brazilian knicker or brief –  is almost a boyshort in style, being cut straight across the top and bottom but much cheekier!  A Brazilian cuts directly across the bum cheeks and sits low across the hips.
Women’s boyshorts –  mimic the style of men’s boxer shorts, having a very ‘square’ cut.  The legs of boyshorts generally extend past the crotch.
The classic brief –  sometimes referred to as a full brief has maximum coverage over the bum and features sides that extend below the hip.
Control briefs – these are specially designed to offer support and give a slimmer appearance to the tummy area.  It is often referred to as shapewear and features a stretch fabric such as Lycra or elastane that covers up to above the waist.
The G-string – is a thong with virtually no rear coverage as a mere string of fabric sits between the buttocks.  The waistband is generally very thin too so a g-string provides very minimal coverage and can be quite uncomfortable.
High-cut briefs – also known as high leg briefs,  have a higher leg line and narrower sides. A high-cut brief gives your legs an extra long look.
Hipster briefs – these are similar to classic briefs but sit lower down the body, starting on the hips rather than the waist.  These expose more tummy so are best suited to the slimmer build.
A thong – is generally cut so that a triangle of fabric covers the crotch and extends to the back in a narrow strip that sits between the buttocks.  Very similar to the G string style.
So, if ‘thongs ain’t what they used to be’, it’s time to get some more.

classify your breasts

know your breasts and you will know your perfect bra.Breast Separation

Breast separation between women’s breasts really does vary widely. This is the horizontal distance between your two breasts at the center of your chest. Depending on how much or how little distance you have between your two breasts can determine whether or not you will achieve touching cleavage (that vertical fold line created when breasts touch), how a bra will fit you, and if and underwire bra will be comfortable.

You have one of the following 5 types of breast separation, and all 5 types are a common occurrence.

Touching Breasts

touching breasts
Touching breast separation (also known as “kissing breasts”) is where your two breasts are touching or almost touching when you are standing sans a bra. If your breast are such, you have probably figured out that a bra’s center panel (also called the center gore and center bridge) will have fit issues and probably not rest against your sternum. And the underwires of a traditional underwire bra will probably tilt outward and away from your body at your sternum because again, there is no space available for them to rest against your sternum. There is also a rare condition called “Symmastia” where the breast tissue between the two breasts is connected See the additional considerations section. This breast separation is not common, but presents bra fit issues as well.
Bra Suggestions:
  • Be very aware of the center design of your bra – the optimal center panel for you will be low cut or almost nothing.
  • Underwire bras where the underwires barely come up and into your center chest/sternum area – if at all – will fit you best.
  • IF you are larger than a DD cup size, bras with seams in the cups will give you your best shaping and support.
  • Look for plunge bras if you want to show off your kissing cleavage. These bra styles tend to have very low center panels – if any.
  • Bras without wires (called "soft cup" bras) will be a comfortable choice, but the center panel will probably not rest on your sternum. Soft cup bras larger than a D cup also have a tendency to compromise your shape and support.
  • A halter style bra can be a good choice because the design tends to push breasts together towards the center anyway.
  • Avoid bras with a significant center panel between the cups. This panel will not rest against your sternum.

Separated Breasts

Separated breasts are the most common form of breast separation. This is where the two breasts, at rest, are not touching one another – generally the breast distance will be 1 to 2 finger’s widths apart.

Bra Suggestions:
  • Every style of bra will work with this basic breast separation. In the lingerie industry, this is considered the typical breast separation and thus most bras are designed to fit this separation type.
  • B cup sizes and larger with this type of breast separation can achieve a vertical cleavage line.

Splayed Breasts

Splayed breast separation is where the breasts are separated, but the separation splays outwards creating a triangle shape between the breasts. So your bra’s center panel (also called center bridge or center gore) needs to be chosen carefully. If the bridge is not shaped like a triangle, the bottom of the bridge will not be wide enough, and this could cause your underwires between your breasts to tip outward and away from your sternum. Women who are splayed and have large breasts can find their breasts extending past their sides and getting in the way of arm movement.

Bra Suggestions:
  • Bras with a wide-based triangle shape center panel will fit you best.
  • Balconette and demi bras have shorter wires and therefore can be a comfortable bra style solution, but look for ones with seamed cups.
  • Bras where the center is made with cording, or has center underwires that barely come up between the breasts, like a plunge bra, can work for you.
  • Splayed breasts DD cup size and larger should consider bras with tall side seams (3” or taller) and cups with side support panels or side slings along the outer sides of the cups to help get your breasts more front and center.
  • If you are experiencing rubbing or chafing by your bra on the outside edge of your breasts near the underarm, it’s probably because all your breast tissue is not getting inside your bra cups. This can be corrected by leaning forward, and moving your breast tissue fully into the cups with your hands. If this tissue doesn’t all fit in your cups, this is a sign that you need a larger cup size.

Wide-set Breasts

Wide-set breasts are separated breasts but are further apart - generally 3 or more finger’s widths apart at the sternum. Because of this distance, the ability to create touching cleavage is almost impossible. Underwires can be uncomfortable if you are widely separated, and can cause discomfort in the underarm area if the underwires are not encircling all your breast tissue. Leaning forward and pushing the under arm breast tissue inside the cups can help. Manipulating the underwire circumference shape and angle can make an underwire bra feel more comfortable.

Bra Suggestions:
  • Look at a bra’s center panel and select those bras where this center panel is wider than others.
  • Push-up bras that push up from the bottom and in from the sides will be the ones to give you better cleavage.
  • Bras without underwires (called ‘soft cup’ bras) will be comfortable if you have constant issues with your underwires poking.
  • Bras with a triangle-shaped cup will fit, as will plunge bras.
  • Bras with side panels built in the cups will give women who are D cup size and larger more forward projection, plus relocate the under-arm breast tissue more towards the center thus giving easier arm movement.
  • Front closure bras, because of their center clasp, tend to have wider-set cups. So, they can be a good choice up to DD cup sizing.

Wide-set/Splayed Breasts

Wide-set/splayed breasts are a combination where your breasts are both wide-set and splayed – there are 3 or more finger-widths between your breasts, and the breasts splay outwards creating a wide triangle-shape between the breasts. The center panel of you bra is again, key. It needs to be triangle in shape, or barely have a center panel at all. If your breasts are large, you can find them in conflict with the movement of your arms. Underwires could be uncomfortable under your arms as well. It is very unlikely that wide-set/splayed breasts of any size will be able to create a vertical cleavage line.

Bra Suggestions:
  • Bras with a wide triangle-shaped center panel will work best.
  • Bras with side support panels in their cup design will help push your breasts out from under your arms and in from the sides to give you a better forward shape.
  • Front closure bras are a good choice because the center clasp tends to cause wider set cups. This bra style is a good choice up to DD cup sizes.
  • Bras with seams in the cups (and a wider center panel) will give you a more rounded and youthful breast shape.
  • Soft cup bras (bras without underwires) will be a more forgiving fit, but you will not get great shape and definition.
  • Center panels made of cording and plunge bras will probably fit you better. But, look for the widest center panel you can find.
  • Push-up bras that both push you up from the bottom and in from the sides will be your best choice for creating any possible kissing cleavage.

How to Wash a Bra

Bras can seem like alien clothing to wash, but it is really quite easy. If you're a husband, boyfriend, or a woman new to bras, or if you'd like to take better care of your investment, here are some tips for you.
1
Close the clasps before washing. Most bras have clasps on them, whether they attach in the front or back. These have a tendency to catch on other items in the wash. If yours is an athletic bra or slip-on type without closures, don't worry about this step.
2

Put bras in a zip-up, net bag (sometimes called a lingerie bag) that separates them from other items in the wash. This will prevent snagging. You can then wash bras at the same time as other items in your washing machine.

3
Wash bras in cold or warm water on the gentle cycle of the washing machine.
4
Make sure as with any other items you launder that the items are of compatible colors. If you wash a red bra with a number of white bras you may end up with a selection of pink,polka-dotted,or tie-dyed clothing.
5
Wash bras with fabrics of a similar weight. Jeans and towels are much heavier than bras. T-shirts, underwear, socks and pajamas are better choices for filling up that load.

6
Reshape the bra if it has foam or batting in the cups.

7
Air dry the bra if at all possible. It is by far the gentlest way.
· Hanging the bra on a rack or clothesline makes for easy handling and relatively quick drying.
· If you are concerned about the possibility of the bra stretching out, lay the bra flat to dry it because hanging can reshape or damage the form of the cup.
· If you do dry the bra in a dryer, dry it on a low to medium setting. Heat damages the elastic in the bra and the hooks catch or tangling with other items in the dryer.

How to Take Care of Your Lingerie

You have just invested your latest pay check on a few lovely pieces of lingerie and you want to preserve them in the best condition for a long time. With care your lovely pieces will last, especially after following the ideas given below.

Give them your tender-loving-care (TLC) and you will receive good mileage from them. Most people love to cut away the tags from the lingerie since they just don’t look very sexy. We suggest that you take a look at the fabric and washing label before you snip

1Wash your new lingerie before wearing them, even though it may be a brand new piece.
For sanitary reasons and to rid the new garments of potential chemical residue, it is a good idea to wash new lingerie.
So, be kind to your skin, just wash them before wearing.
Soak the garments for no more than 1/2 hour in light detergent.
Depending on where you live, the brands and types may vary, but pick the one that is easy to dissolve.
Mix the detergent with water before putting in the lingerie. Make sure that they are evenly mixed or you might end up having blotches in your braor G-strings.
Do not mix the dark coloured ones with the light ones. Yes, this is a basic rule but we still do this when we are lazy, lumping them together in a tub and then tears roll down when the pure white lace becomes antique rust colour
.
4
Remove any loose buckles or anything else that doesn't belong in the lingerie wash bowl. This helps prevent rust spots forming on delicate lingerie.
5
Wash padded areas carefully. Pay attention the areas that trap sweat. Make sure you wash them thoroughly or it might give you some nasty rashes the next time you wear it.

6
Do not squash the bra or padding while washing as it will deform the shape.Just press them gently. Put the cup of the bra in the centre of one palm and use your fist from the other hand to press against the cup, this will drain out the water without squashing the cups.

7
Rinse away the detergent thoroughly as most people do not pay attention to this step. Detergent weakens the fibers of the material and leaving them on just speeds up the erosion. In time to come, you will notice that your favourite sexy lace bra is not as snug as before. Yes, the bra has expanded, not your breasts!

8
Hang up the lingerie to dry if possible. If not, clip on the straps and the middle portion of the bra, unless you want an imprint of the clothes peg on the padded portion, never snap a peg on the cups portion.

9
Use a lingerie bag when drying your delicates in a clothes dryer.

10
Stowing them in their original shape is the best way to preserve the shape.If you crush them or fold them, you are likely to destroy the shape of the bra. If you are not careful, not only will the bra not enhance your cleavage, you might end up looking like you have extra nipples.
